The Difficult Issues of Life

Have you ever found yourself in life with difficult situations and wondered where to go or whom to turn to ? I have been in that position. In the Bible we see that Habakkuk had somewhere to go and someone to listen to him when he was perplexed beyond measure. He drew a picture of his watchtower which is called prayer tower, he was also confident that God would meet him there and give him answers. I can imagine in those days Ancient cities had large walls around them which was used to watch for attacking armies or running messages and then to spread the news to the city’s inhabitants. These answers would not only be for himself but for the people whom Habakkuk was serving who wanted answers too. The story can be found in Habakkuk 2:1-20 KJV.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. Habakkuk 2:1KJV

In the world we live today we don’t have to be a prophet to have a watchtower. We can simply be a mother, wife, a member of Congress , a member of the armed force or even homeless who knows God, and knows that God has made a watchtower into which we can climb from that place of prayer, and we can begin to see what God sees and wait patiently for His response or we can keep an eye out for His messenger.

Different ways in which God can send His messenger

As times have changed and become more modern there have become more ways in which God is able to send us word, it can be through different mediums some of which can be Pastors, friends, authors or media. God can also send you a messenger like He did in Habakkuk’s case where He sent it directly through His word. Not only do we as believers have somewhere to go, we also have someone to listen to us and answer the difficulties or perplexities we face and give us rest from all our frustrations.

Conclusion

We as believers sometimes in life are faced with difficult issues and want to let go my advised is to hold on and let us not get weary in our well doing, God will answer our prayer just like Habakkuk. God plans regarding Israel didn’t change suffering was still ahead for the nation but what did Habakkuk did he came down from his watchtower knowing that God was in control and wanted only the best for his people, and that was enough for him. God has not changed is the same way He wanted the best for us, let us hold on to the end and be like Jeremiah.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11KJV

I hope this thought will be a blessing to someone.
