No Part Dark

Meaning of Dark

The absence of light in a place.

What the Bible says about Dark

Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. Luke 12:3 KJV

Sometimes in life we can become so distraught, things can seem so dark with no end in sight, we try to pretend the darkness doesn’t matter but it always does! We never know when a storm will blow into our lives and toss our “ship” to and fro then we begin to drift.

I had a bad habit of being short tempered and when I became a Christian it did not automatically go away, whenever I was frustrated or unhappy with what was said to me I would become very easily upset. As I began to grow in my Christian life, I struggled to clean up my act because I was trying to do it in my own strength when the bible says without Christ we can do nothing. I also had other “dark” areas of my life I figured I would work hard on fixing leaving the short temper for later. I really didn’t think it mattered that much.

On one particular Sunday during worship service I felt the Holy Ghost moved in a special way. It so happened that after service that Sunday there was a disagreement between myself and one of my church sister which led us both to go see our Pastor in his office, things then got somewhat out of hand and I lost my temper, I could see my Pastors facial expression and it was not something I was proud of. I felt so bad considering the amazing service I had just enjoyed. I thought to myself, what just happened! I went home that evening and I prayed to God and asked for forgiveness. I decided to read my bible and came upon this verse, God is light and in him there is no darkness. I realised that because God is the light, I ought to be his lighthouse. What joy but what responsibility!

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5 KJV

As we spend time with God, we will learn how to let his light shine into our life and then out to others. He wants to illuminate all the dark and dusty corners of our mind and bring his holiness to bear on our motives. We are lighthouses and Jesus is our lightkeeper

He wants to make sure the light is burning on the inside in order that it can shine brightly on the outside. We must let him do his work in our lives. His light is truth, and our response must be to let his light shine in and through us. He is a good lighthouse keeper, and he wants us to be good lighthouses so that there will be no part dark

Don’t let your part dark determine your future. In the dark moments, I encourage you, bring your pain to God. He knows not only how to comfort you, but how to bring you through the pain and into a new and better life. And if you reach out to Him, He will bring you through. Life has no shortage of difficulties, but the good news is that no matter how difficult things may get, you can bounce back. That’s the beauty of resilience.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians ’s 1:6 KJVFor I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11KJV
