My Supplier

Philosophy View Of Supplier

By definition, a supplier is a person, company, or organization that sells or supplies something such as goods or equipment to customers.

Biblical View Of Supplier

Then he looked and behold, there was at his head a bread cake baked on hot stones, and a jar of water. So, he ate and drank and lay down again.

1st Kings 19:6 KJV

Have you ever bought items online and they promised to deliver within a certain time? You become excited, then you receive an email that your items were delivered to the wrong address, delayed or cancelled? The feeling of disappointment, desperation or sadness takes over.

Thanks be to the Lord who is our faithful and reliable supplier. He will never deliver your items to the wrong address nor delay or cancel your delivery. He reminds us in several scriptures that He will supply our needs if we just call upon Him.

The Apostle Paul is the author of the book of Philippians. In Philippians 4:19 he gives us good reassurance. Apostle Paul emphasizes that God will supply all our needs both spiritually and materially.

But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 KJV

In the book of Genesis 22: 4-8, Abraham a great man of faith was tested by God to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice, but Abraham knew that God as a supplier of abundance would intervene and make provision so his son would be spared. He is the same God yesterday today and for ever He has not changed.

On the third day of their journey, Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

“Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”

So Abraham placed the wood for the burnt offering on Isaac’s shoulders, while he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them walked on together.

Isaac turned to Abraham and said, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“We have the fire and the wood,” the boy said, “but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?”

“God will provide a sheep for the burnt offering, my son,” Abraham answered. And they both walked on together. Genesis 22:4-8 NLT

God is our all-powerful, all-compassionate, all-wise and all-loving heavenly Father. I would like to encourage us today not to shift our focus to what we do not have or try to fulfil our needs in our own way. When we seek for ourselves it is never as good as what our main supplier who is our Heavenly Father has for us. Unfortunately, what we seek on our own can lead to lack of trust in our Heavenly supplier.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 kJV

From my experience let me therefore encourage someone today, trust the Lord to be your source or supplier of everything you need:

• Keep your focus on Him.

• He gives you opportunities to work.

• He will miraculously SUPPLY because that is who He is.

• He will use the generosity or good will of others to provide for you.

• God is not only able, but can make His provisions available to you.

God is always available to provide for our needs if we ask him in prayer. Jesus told us to ask and it will be given unto us, when we seek, we will find and when we knock it will be open to us. So, we should not worry ourselves about anything but trust God because He does what He says and gives what he promises.
