God's Will In Our Lives
Lord we praise you this morning, you are the Alpha, Omega, the beginning and the end.
We place you at the highest place, we hail you Kings of Kings.
We worship you our Lord and Master.
We thank you for the week that has passed and as we enter a new week we pray that your will be done in our lives.
Heavenly Father, we praise your holy name. We pray for your will to also be done in this world, for your way to rule here on earth as it does in heaven. Abba Father help us to seek you so our lives can be filled with truth, true fulfilment comes from seeking your will for our lives.
Your word in Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that you have plans for each and everyone of us. Let your hand guide our steps and provide us with all we need because You are good and you only want what’s best for us. Good and gracious God, we ask that your pathway will become clear so that we will walk in the paths that you have laid out in front of us and lead us through the narrow gate.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29 :11 NLT
Father, because You are gracious and merciful, Your will is always oriented toward our benefit. Lord, this world we are living in is filled with darkness and sometimes we don’t understand you will, what seems to us to be good is sometimes not. Illuminate the darkness around us, that we might understand Your will. Speak to us through your holy word so that we may continue in your way.
Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
Proverbs 16: 24 NIV
Lord, to know your Son Jesus, is to know your will. When we are united to your Son by our faith and trust in Him, we know that your desire for us is to listen to Him. Lord, teach us to believe and help our unbelief, help us to cling ever more tightly to your everlasting will which is in your Son Jesus Christ, that we may also have no doubt about His will for our lives, Lord let your will be done.
He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”
Matthew 26: 42 NIV
Heavenly Father help us to constantly seek your face and try not to deduce your will, in your great wisdom, you have provided us with knowledge through your holy word. Lord, teach us to seek your voice in the scriptures. Keep us from being blown around by every posture and position of the world. Instead, keep us steadfast on the right path, where your will can be manifested in our lives
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
Lord, we know that carrying our cross can be difficult. Since it was your will to carry our cross, we ask that you give us the strength to walk with you. Make our steps sure and clear even when our feet give way and we stumble, help us to get up and start again until we finish the race.
Everlasting God, You have prayed in the garden, you accepted the suffering that awaited you, according to your will.
We know that your will is good.
We know that it is sometimes necessary to suffer for the sake of others.
O Lord, give us the courage and fortitude to accept your will and follow you even when doing so will cost us dearly. Father God to follow your Son is to carry our cross which we gladly do because you are worth it.
AMEN
