To be like the Berean is one of the most notable amongst modern Christian audiences, they were more noble than those in Thessalonica. Differences of the Bereans: 1.Were called noble 2.Because they received the Word with readiness 3.And searched the Scriptures to examine Paul & Silas’s words.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11 KJV

There should be perseverance in research in order to maintain an existing belief or conception especially in the word of God to develop our spiritual growth.

The book of Revelation gives us warning that helps us to see how serious it is to add to or to subtract from God’s Word.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelations 22:18-19 KJV

There should be no adding or taking away from the word of God which is the (Bible) Good News. We must let the total Bible speak from the weight of evidence concluded in what it teaches.

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:5-6 KJV

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV
