A Divine Connection That Quenches Thirst

What is divine Connection? It is a relationship or association sent directly from God.

What is Thirst? Having or showing a strong desire for something.

In our lives there are many relationships that enable our spiritual growth and activate the plans and purposes God has for us. According to Leviticus 22:21 reveals accomplishment so the things that may have taken many years to be accomplished can possibly take a shorter time because of the exponential power of divine relationship.

And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. Leviticus 22:21 KJV

David recognized his divine Connection with God so that he was able to undoubtedly say that the Lord is his Shepherd. At some point in most if not all of our lives it’s possible to experience a deeper more meaningful friendship and trust within a few months of a relationship than we can sometimes have with people we have known for decades. What a precious gift!

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23:1-6KJV.

Recognising divine connections in your life: It is always important to recognize and embrace these gifts in the form of human connections placed in our lives.

These individuals will encourage you, motivate you and simply will not allow you to quit because of that connection you have made with them.

They are genuinely excited about what God is doing in your life. They may not even understand the details or have any expertise in any aspect of your life, but their hearts are connected to yours. These are people who will reach out to you and offer a prayer or an encouraging word at what always seem to be the perfect moment, they will seek opportunities to connect you to resources that you will need to facilitate progress with your purpose or assignment that will make you feel blessed and benefited by their help, because their conversations are divinely inspired.

For example, look at all the different platforms that were created as a result of the pandemic, God wants us to stay connected so that we can bring forth good fruits in our season and lead others to come to know him, bring him glory and that whatever we do will prosper.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 KJV

When we are thirsty, we are quick to satisfy our thirst by having a drink.

A prolonged state of being thirsty is harmful to the body as it could lead to dehydration.

Drinking water or some kind of fluid satisfies physical thirst, but there is a kind of thirst that water cannot satisfy and that thirst is the Holy Spirit or eternal life

Like water satisfies physiological thirst, the Holy Spirit satisfies spiritual thirst.

And the renewal can only be done through Jesus Christ

To experience the blessing from this stream and to have a divine connection you must desire it, which is an indication of acknowledgement of your need for Him.

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psalms 46:4-5 KJV

I want to believe that the word stream mentioned in this scripture is referring to the Holy Spirit.

By opening our mouths to drink water to quench our thirst, similarly we need to open our mouths and lift our voices to call on the Holy Spirit to its rightful place in our lives.

Have a blessed day….
